Ripples of Influence

Ripples of Influence

As a pebble in a pond creates numerous rings of influence, so did my mother in the lives of those she touched…

Dear Randall,

I can’t begin to tell you how blessed my life has been because of having the friendship of your precious mom. As I think about her life, I truly think she is the most unselfish, loving person I know. She gave so much of herself, and made some very selfless choices that still simply amaze me. I just hope when trials come my way, that I go through them with such joy and encouragement to others as she did. She was a beautiful witness to us all – new and old friends alike.

Love, a Friend

Dear Randall,

Your mother was always “up” around us. She lived her life with courage and faith. Her faith in God became deeper and deeper through this illness. Her greatest gift to all of us was sharing her love for the Lord. We will take courage from this – Nancy has truly fought the good fight, finished the race, and won the crown.

Love, a Friend

Dear Randall,

Your mom was a very special and wonderful friend, and she was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. The vibrancy of the Holy Spirit in her life has been amazing. Your faith and commitment to Jesus was truly the answer to her deepest and dearest prayers. Remember, the timing for you was of God, and He has His purposes. You are a testimony of God’s love and faithfulness…

Love, a Friend

An Anonymous Poem,

Cancer is so limited…

It cannot cripple love,

It cannot shatter hope,

It cannot corrode faith,

It cannot eat away peace,

It cannot destroy confidence,

It cannot kill friendship,

It cannot shut out memories,

It cannot silence courage,

It cannot invade the soul,

It cannot reduce eternal life,

It cannot quench the Spirit,

It cannot lessen the power of the resurrection.

A Poem from a Friend

How can we capture a rainbow?
A lily’s sweet fragrance?
A mockingbird’s song?
Reeds gracefully blowing,
A murmuring river,
A hawk soaring high where free souls belong?

How can we capture her glowing,
So loving, so ready to give?
“I’m learning to die,” Nancy told us.
“No, by God’s grace,
I’m learning to live!”

Because of you, Nancy,
So are we. Hallelujah!

What do you think?
We have all sinned and deserve God’s judgment. God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, "Jesus is Lord," you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.

What is your response?

Yes, I want to follow Jesus

I am a follower of Jesus

I still have questions

How can I know God?

If you died, why should God let you into heaven?
